This large cottage dates back to 1860 and has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Two steps lead into the entrance hall, at the end of the hall is a large utility room for storing your bicycles, travelling trunks and outdoor gear.
The lounge is spacious, bright and stylish with an inglenook fireplace with wood burner for cosy evenings in. The floor is solid oak. There is a large screen TV with digital channels and a DVD player. There is a large Barker and Stonehouse sofa and also two comfortable armchairs for you to relax in. An abundance of storage space, books, DVD's and themed pictures on the wall complete the lounge
The dining-kitchen is large, modern and well equipped with all the "tools" that Chef will require. Kitchen units are well fitted and provide ample storage, whilst surface space is plentiful and very well presented. The kitchen lighting is extensive and well positioned to allow flexibility. Appliances are very well provided to include a full size hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a stylish reclaimed pine dining table which comfortably seats 4.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom is lovely with a super king-sized And So To Bed® 'Austen' brass bed taking centre stage. Opposite the bed is a beautiful feature fireplace. For those who like to sit pretty, there is a large wardrobe with drawers and a lovely Edwardian dressing table. The bedding is cotton.
There are a further two bedrooms, both with single beds. The second bedroom is delightfully characterful and built into a sloping roof, with stripped original floorboards, lovely rug and period wallpaper, all to set off a lovely Bavarian pine bed with a wardrobe to match. The third bedroom has a lovely brass bed, stripped floorboards and a hanging space for clothes .
There is a well lit shower room with with hooks for robes. Mirrors are well positioned. The double sized walk-in shower has excellent water pressure and the temperature is instantly controllable. The shower head can be hand held. There is a hand basin. A separate WC has its own hand basin and storage cupboard. It is all finished to a very high standard.
Please note: the accommodation is unsuitable for those reliant on a wheelchair.
* Please note that to access the cottage's parking, there is a 3" kerb. There is also free, unreserved parking spaces for 3 cars across the road from the cottage. There are public car parks 100 metres from the cottage.
